Device South Africa plays a leading role in providing computers to schools in Southern Africa. Our approach is based on the following methods:
  • Device South Africa purchases the end-of-lease ICT equipments, refurbish them, clean and pack them and sell them directly to schools at very affordable prices.
  • Device South Africa acts as an agent between the donors and the schools or charity organizations. Companies that wish to donate their old computers to schools & charity organization, can do so by contacting Device SA directly. Device SA arranges the collections, refurbishing, and delivering the donated computers to their designated recipients.

Why would you choose Device South Africa to handle your donated ICT equipments?
We, in Device South Africa pride ourselves on providing an excellent professional service. Our services are backed by 13 years of international experience (Europe & Africa) and total commitment to both, donors and beneficiaries. The process is complete, from A-Z and we assume legal liability for everything that we receive. This includes:
  • Irrecoverable, secure and guaranteed data wipe of all data stored on the computer, using specialist software that meets the international standards. Full technical auditing report, with complete tracking. Feedback on the schools and the charity organizations that your computers are benefiting.
  • Strict policy on recycling of irreparable components. Collection from anywhere in South Africa.
  • Multiple site collections.

Since most of the donated computers are destined to schools we recommend the following in order to maximize the benefits of implementing these computers in a classroom situation:

  • 21+ items (Monitors or Base units)
  • Pentium II or preferably, III processor
  • 64 Mb of RAM
  • 6 GB Hard Drive
  • 15" Monitor

If you have equipment that meets these specifications in sufficient quantities then you are in a position to help us improve IT access in South Africa and Southern Africa schools.

Should you require more information please contact Device South Africa
